Chris Humphreys, Co-Founder of Gateway Tours

Chris Humphreys, born and raised in Louisville, is a true local who has a deep appreciation for the food, beer, and history that his city has to offer. From his childhood in Okolona to his current residence in a historic Queen Anne Victorian on South 4th Street, Chris has experienced all facets of Louisville living.

With a background as a writer and former photographer for a local publication, Chris has a passion for the history of his hometown. During his time at this particular magazine, he had the opportunity to tour countless historic homes in Louisville, including many in Old Louisville. His love for the city's rich history led him to start Gateway Tours alongside his wife, Gretchen. He now shares his knowledge and passion with visitors from near and far.

When he's not leading tours, Chris can be found walking his dogs in Louisville's beautiful Olmsted Parks. As a dedicated supporter of local businesses and a proud Louisville resident, Chris is committed to showcasing the best that his city has to offer to all who visit.
